Training schemes

Come and be equipped at St Nicholas on one of our two exciting training schemes: The Timothy Scheme and the St Nic’s Gap Year.

Timothy Scheme

Paul encouraged Timothy to entrust to reliable people the things he had heard Paul say so that they will also be qualified to teach others. This is the motivation of the Timothy Scheme.

At St Nic’s God has blessed us with a number of senior ministers who have many years of ministry experience, and we would love to serve the future global church by entrusting this knowledge to those called to full time gospel ministry.

The Timothy Scheme is for those who are discerning or already have a recognised calling to full time ministry and want to spend a year or two being trained and mentored by someone with experience in their area of ministry.

St Nic's Gap Year

Gap years can be a real opportunity to grow: many use them to enhance their CV, travel the world, learn new skills, earn some money, or even grow up before heading to university.

God speaks of another kind of growth – growing in maturity in Christ. That’s what we’d love to offer you on the St Nic’s Gap Year – an opportunity to grow.

Join us as a volunteer 5 days a week (Sunday-Thursday) for 10 months (Sept-June) focused on your discipleship/ growth. We will pray with you that you will grow in both your knowledge of Jesus and your likeness to Him.
