We’re aware that for many church can be a strange experience. We try to make our Sunday meetings as accessible as possible for anyone to come to.
But often people have questions about things they hear week by week, as well as more fundamental questions about the Christian faith. For a short summary of what we believe Christianity is all about please click here. We’d love you to take a look at this because it’s our conviction that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, to bring us forgiveness and new life.
If you want to spend a bit more time examining the claims of Christianity then we run a course called Christianity Explored. It’s a place to ask all those questions and chew over some answers in the company of like-minded people who won’t assume anything, won’t get embarrassed by anything you say, and who’ll help you think these things through.
We’d love everyone involved in Grace Church to do the Christianity Explored course at some point if they haven’t already. If you’re already a Christian it’s a great chance to focus on the heart of the Christian faith. It’s also a chance to think through your own questions and the ones your friends ask you. The course provides an informal opportunity to ask your questions and explore who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him. You’re not asked to pray, sing, or read aloud, and you can ask anything you like. Or, if you prefer, you can come along and simply listen. Courses usually last for seven sessions on either a midweek evening or (for women only) a Friday morning. There’s never any charge. There are several courses running each year so do let us know if you’d like to do one and we can link you into the next one.
The next Christianity Explored course will take place in Summer 2017. For more information or to sign up just email the church office if you would like to join the course or want more details, or simply turn up whenever the course is running.
