In a large church like St Nicholas it isn’t always easy to meet people and to connect with others. We recognise this problem. One of the ways we try to respond is by encouraging folk to join one of our Nurture Groups.
Nurture Groups have a special role in the life and purpose of St Nicholas. Their overarching aim is to help one another grow as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Members of a Nurture Group are drawn from the same congregation, so that the people you study the Bible and pray with mid-week are the people you are able to encourage and serve alongside on Sundays. Our aim is that every Nurture Group will be captured by our vision of knowing Jesus and wanting to make him known. We trust that these will be groups where we nurture one another in God’s word, see people equipped for serving Christ, where there is a prayerful focus on supporting mission and where we are praying for our friends to be reached with the good news of the Lord Jesus.
Nurture Groups (with one or two exceptions) meet on the second and fourth Tuesday evenings of each month (apart from August). To join a group or to request further information, contact your Congregational Pastor via the Church Office.
